Job summary

Hollywood Casino Joliet is seeking energetic servers to take guest food and beverage orders, serve meals, and ensure accurate dining charges. This role emphasizes outstanding hospitality, multitasking, and knowledge of menu items and pairings.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, 2 years of fine dining service, being 21+ to serve alcohol, and English fluency. Training will cover POS operations, safety, and guest service, with opportunities for growth within Penn

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a High School education with minimum 2 years of table service experience in a fine dining setting is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Must understand and speak the English language.
• Must be able to carry food trays of varying sizes with 30 pounds or more on one tray.

Responsibilities

• Takes guest food and beverage orders, serves food to guests, and totals dining charges.
• Responds to special requests for dining amenities.
• Provides a high level of customer service and promotes a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for guests and team members.
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to standards.
• Describes menu items and knowledge of basic wine, beer, and liquor pairings; presents beverages tableside.
• Rings items into POS, processes payments, and reconciles transactions.
• Follows service standards and maximizes guest check averages.

• Develops complete product knowledge; able to describe all menu items; has basic wine, beer, and liquor knowledge; able to suggest successful pairings and present all beverages; professionally presents wine tableside.
• Takes and delivers food and beverage orders.
• Follows and maintains all service standards.
• Rings items into POS system, accepts payment, and reconciles all payments.
• Makes specific suggestions and recommendations to increase guest check average as defined by management.
• Follows all safety procedures and maintains work area for a clean and safe environment.
• Develops and maintains complete knowledge of Hollywood movie memorabilia.
• Able to describe restaurant displays, adding appropriate details of actors and history.
• Other duties as assigned.
