Job summary
Free Market Health in Pittsburgh is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our non-dispensing pharmacy team. You will review prescriptions for accuracy, coordinate with providers and pharmacy partners, and support benefit investigations and prior authorizations.
The role requires an active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license, at least two years of pharmacy experience, and a detail-oriented, service-minded approach. This is a Monday–Friday onsite position at our Pittsburgh Headquarters.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is required.
Responsibilities
- Review incoming prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and fulfillment readiness.
- Work with medical providers to clarify information and resolve prescription issues.
- Coordinate prescription activity across our non-dispensing and specialty pharmacy network.
- Investigate pharmacy benefit coverage and follow payer requirements.
- Gather benefit and utilization-management criteria to support prior authorizations.
- Connect provider- and prescription-support issues with the right internal teams and follow through to resolution.
- Prepare information pharmacists need to transfer prescription files between pharmacies.
