Corewell Health Taylor Hospital in Taylor, MI, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to operate within designated areas under moderate direction, supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring accurate, high-quality medication processes.

Responsibilities include data collection and reporting, serving as a role model, training others, and maintaining compliance with USP standards (795, 797, 800). The position is full-time with rotating shifts and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in pharmacy. Preferred.
  • LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required.

  • Operates in a designated area of specialty or assigned responsibilities above and beyond technician duties.
  • Assumes ownership and ensures quality and completeness of work assigned.
  • Responsible for data collection and/or reporting related to assigned area/project.
  • Serves as a role model and leader in the department.
  • Escalates any concerns that are identified in their area of work through chain of command.
  • Required to adhere to regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance (including USP [795] [797] [800] in sites that perform sterile compounding).
  • Participates in training others in area of specialty.

About Taylor Hospital

Corewell Health Taylor Hospital, is a 148-bed hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area. Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services including 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT w/cardiac scoring, Fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK & elastography).

Scope of Work

Under moderate direction and supervision, operate in designated areas or job functions within the site location. Functions relatively independently and has some decision-making responsibility. May interact with other departments and/or businesses outside of the pharmacy department. Enhanced knowledge/training of area assigned above and beyond a pharmacy technician. Participates in training of employees in the area of specialty.
