Job summary

Corewell Health Taylor Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse to deliver patient-centered care in a Magnet-designated setting. You will work under the Nurse Leader, applying nursing processes to achieve the best outcomes for patients and families in a 24-hour care environment.

The role requires RN licensure in Michigan, BSN preferred or pursuing, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. You will join the Progressive Care Unit on the Taylor campus, with a night shift and 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in nursing; BSN preferred or being pursued.
• Must pass NCLEX licensure examination to practice as RN.
• MI RN license required upon hire.
• Certification in critical care or related specialties is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process framework and patient-family-centered care to provide high-quality care.
• Collaborate with Nurse Leader and interprofessional team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Perform assessments, plan care, and document in the EMR according to policy.

Corewell Health Taylor Hospital is a 148-bed, Magnet®-designated hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area. Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography).

Scope of Work

As a Clinical Nurse with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care. Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, you'll be a vital member of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Required Bachelor's Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N, or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years, required. This is effective April 18, 2023.
• Required Graduates from non-accredited school of nursing programs must have at least one year of acute care experience or greater than 2 years of experience in a licensed health care role, such as an LPN or EMT role, etc., and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
