Job summary
Corewell Health Southfield Center is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician in a Specialty Pharmacy Call Center. The role involves preparation, storage, and dispensing of prescriptions with rotations through IV admixture, unit-dose, OR, and outpatient Pharmacy services.
Data entry and record-keeping are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, sterile compounding experience or 6 months technician experience, and MI licensure upon hire for technician
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience or ASHP-accredited technician program preferred.
- State of Michigan licensure upon hire is required for technician or pharmacist intern roles.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions.
- Rotate through IV admixture and unit dose service; possibly rotate to OR Pharmacy and Outpatient Pharmacy.
- Perform data entry and other record-keeping tasks as needed for department operations.
