Job summary

Qualifications

• Five-year Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy is required.
• Current registered pharmacist license and controlled substance license issued by Michigan State Board of Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

• The Pharmacist will support a centralized specialty pharmacy prior authorization clinic serving West Michigan.
• Resolve and appeal prior authorization denials for prescriptions from Trinity Health providers.
• Provide telephonic medication counseling to patients and maintain strong relationships with providers to minimize delays.
• Monitors patient drug therapies and provides drug information. Directs support personnel.
• Can work independently while following departmental policies and procedures.
