Job summary

Trinity Health in Grand Rapids is seeking an Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician to support a centralized Prior Authorization Clinic serving our West Michigan Medical Group practices. The role involves resolving and appealing prior authorization requests and helping patients access medications.

This position may also provide support to other ambulatory pharmacy clinics as needed, with focus on collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams and adherence to licensure requirements in Michigan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program is preferred.
• Licensed Michigan LPhT and nationally certified CPhT, or eligible to obtain national certification within six months.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy work experience required; experience in multiple healthcare settings preferred.
• Previous experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a centralized Prior Authorization Clinic serving Trinity Health Medical Group practices throughout West Michigan.
• Resolve and appeal prior authorization requests and support medication access for patients.
• Provide support to other ambulatory pharmacy clinics as needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Formal Pharmacy Technician training program

LPhT licensure in Michigan

CPhT certification

Eligible to obtain national certification within six months
