Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to support a centralized specialty pharmacy prior authorization clinic in West Michigan. You will resolve denials, counsel patients by phone, and work with Trinity Health providers to minimize delays in specialty therapies.

The role also includes monitoring therapies, providing drug information, directing support staff, and working independently within department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum Five-year Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy required.
• Licensed pharmacist in Michigan with controlled substance licensure required.
• Experience with prior authorizations and specialty medications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Resolve and appeal prior authorization denials for prescriptions from Trinity Health providers.
• Provide telephonic medication counseling to patients.
• Maintain strong collaboration with providers to minimize delays and ensure timely initiation of specialty therapies.
• Monitor patient drug therapies and provide drug information.
• Direct support personnel and work independently in line with policies.
