Job summary

CPS, part of the Optum family, is hiring a full-time Specialty Pharmacy Liaison in Gallipolis, OH. The role connects patients, providers, and pharmacy to improve prescription capture and communication. A pharmacist supervises the liaison, with duties including prior authorizations, data updates, and administrative tasks.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with no weekends. A competitive benefits package and career development opportunities are offered. Must be able to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supporting clinical pharmacy programs and performing administrative tasks such as prior authorizations and data entry.
• Solid knowledge of medication regimens, age-specific dosing, and managed care practices.
• Proficient in pharmacy systems, care management platforms, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Comfortable interacting professionally with patients and providers via phone, in person, or telehealth.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pharmacy services through the health system's specialty and retail pharmacy.
• Process prior authorizations and assist with financial aid.
• Update clinical data and support administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the CPS Patient Care Services team under pharmacist supervision.
• Engage with patients, providers, and the care team to ensure smooth service delivery.
