Job summary

CPS Solutions, LLC, part of the Optum family, seeks a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison in Decatur, IL to coordinate pharmacy services for health systems’ specialty and retail pharmacies. You will bridge patients, providers, and the pharmacy, focusing on prescription capture, counseling, and clear communication under pharmacist supervision.

Required qualifications include an Illinois Pharmacy Technician license, PTCB/ExCPhT, and a high school diploma with recent tech experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Active Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois in good standing.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPhT) required.
Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact between providers, specialty pharmacies, and patients to facilitate timely therapy initiation.
Coordinate prescription intake and referrals, ensuring transmission of orders and required documents.
Support prior authorizations and benefits investigations with payers, pharmacies, and providers.
Educate patients on the specialty pharmacy process, timelines, and access expectations.
Track prescription status and therapy progress, resolving access or financial barriers.
Collaborate with clinical teams to support adherence and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with program, regulatory, and organizational standards.
