Job summary

CPS Solutions, LLC, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison based at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. You will coordinate pharmacy services through the outpatient system and work under supervision of a pharmacist to support prior authorizations and patient access.

The role focuses on collaboration with patients, providers, and payers, handling reimbursement, data updates, and administrative tasks to keep therapy on track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Kentucky.
• Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• PTCB or ExCPT (preferred).
• Experience with prior authorizations and data entry (preferred).
• Knowledge of medication regimens and managed care (preferred).
• Proficiency in pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Process prescription orders and enter patient data.
• Assist pharmacists and providers by gathering information and supporting workflow.
• Coordinate specialty prescriptions for complex or chronic conditions.
• Manage prior authorizations and insurance requirements.
• Coordinate patient onboarding and refills.
• Handle medication distribution logistics, including cold-chain management.
• Maintain documentation meeting REMS, FDA, and manufacturer program requirements.
• Provide high-touch patient support and address non-clinical questions.
