Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech license required.

• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Answers and processes a high volume of calls in a professional manner using scripts for triaging.
• Schedules prescription refills using pharmacy software; updates demographic and payer information.
• Informs patients of preparation for prescription delivery.
• Documents messages for pharmacists, providers and staff; triages urgent information to the appropriate staff.
• Serves as liaison with medical center departments and external providers by directing calls and messages.
