Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Specialty Account Coordinator I to manage patient accounts, verify insurance benefits, handle rejections and denials, and coordinate collections. The role requires knowledge of assistance programs and accurate communication with physicians, staff, patients, and insurers.

A CPhT credential is required within six months from start. You will work on-site with Mercy’s healthcare team to ensure timely billing and accurate

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of insurance verification, coding and billing principles.
• Experience with pre-certification, medical necessity criteria and claims submission.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within six months from start date is required.

Responsabilités

• Manage patient account coordination including insurance verification, rejection/denials, and collections.
• Assist patients in enrolling in drug copay cards and foundations and bill funds accordingly.
• Communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and insurers; act as a resource for staff and patients.
• Maintain knowledge of program guidelines, claims procedures, and company regulations.
