Value Apothecaries Inc, affiliated with Cencora, seeks an experienced pharmacist leader for an ambulatory pharmacy role in North Carolina. Hybrid arrangement with emphasis on remote work and coordination with physician practices and patient care teams.

The ideal candidate will have a PharmD, an active license, and 5+ years in community/ambulatory settings, with experience in specialty pharmacy and prior authorizations. Strong MS Office and pharmacy systems experience are required.

Formación

• PharmD degree strongly preferred.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the appropriate state.
• 5+ years in community/retail/ambulatory pharmacy or health-system related experience.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy and prior authorizations is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Access physician practices for specialty Rx value using available tools and data.
• Establish contact with targeted practices and arrange meetings with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate value of ambulatory pharmacy partnerships to specialty practices.
• Ensure prescriptions flow to ambulatory pharmacy and are identified by staff.
• Create patient profiles including payor information and clinical data.
• Process prescriptions including insurance adjudication and product sourcing.
• Prepare and submit prior authorization paperwork; manage denials.
• Triage prescriptions for limited distribution or out-of-network drugs.
• Act as financial advocate for patients; leverage programs to maximize access.
• Coordinate pickup or courier delivery of prescriptions with patients.
• Follow up to ensure refills are ordered; address ADRs or clinical questions.
• Inform physician offices of patient updates; document in EMR as needed.
• Maintain relationships with physician offices through visits/meetings.
• Assist with program financial reporting and data collection.
• Cross-train to ambulatory pharmacy; provide staffing support including weekends/holidays.
• Provide oversight and direction to staff per policies; mentor and develop employees.
