Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist Navigator to build relationships with physicians and practices using specialty drugs, train staff, and support patients. This hybrid role is largely remote and targeted at the Orlando, FL or Daytona Beach, FL area and surrounding regions.

Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted pharmacist license with PharmD preferred and bring 5+ years of community/retail/ambulatory or health-system experience, including prior authorizations in specialty pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted pharmacist license in the appropriate state of practice.
• PharmD degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years community/retail/ambulatory pharmacy or health-system related experience.
• Previous experience in a specialty pharmacy and/or processing prior authorizations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Access physician practices for potential specialty Rx value.
• Establish communication with targeted practices and arrange meetings.
• Demonstrate value of ambulatory pharmacy partnership to specialty practices.
• Ensure prescriptions flow through ambulatory pharmacy and are identified by staff.
• Coordinate patient profiles including payors and clinical information.
• Process prescriptions including insurance adjudication and product sourcing.
• Prepare and submit prior authorization paperwork; manage denials.
• Triage restricted distribution or out-of-network prescriptions.
• Act as financial advocate for patients; leverage assistance programs.
• Coordinate pickup/courier delivery of prescriptions.
• Follow up with patients for refills and ADRs.
