Job summary

CPS, part of the Optum family, is seeking a full-time Specialty Pharmacist to join a team at Lee Health in Estero, FL. The role focuses on complex, high-cost therapies and patient outcomes in a hospital/health-system setting.

You will educate patients, collaborate with providers and payers, and ensure therapy access while complying with REMS and accreditation standards. Lee Health is the site of practice.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited college
• Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
• 1+ years of clinical experience or residency preferred

Responsibilities

• Review and manage specialty medication therapies for complex, chronic, or high-cost conditions
• Provide patient education and counseling on adherence, administration, side effects, and outcomes
• Coordinate care with providers, payers, and manufacturers to ensure therapy access and continuity
• Oversee prior authorizations and utilization management to meet payer/program requirements
• Monitor therapy effectiveness and safety, including lab values and patient-reported outcomes
• Ensure REMS and accreditation compliance, including documentation and reporting
