Job summary

Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a Specialty Operating Room Technician to support the surgical team. This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly across 5 eight-hour shifts (12:00 PM–8:30 PM) and requires strong teamwork, inventory skills, and basic patient care under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• Understanding of inventory management tasks and computer-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instruments and equipment for designated surgical specialty.
• Maintain and troubleshoot unit equipment; calibrate and replace supplies as needed.
• Track availability of equipment and instruments for procedures with the OR team.
• Maintain inventory of anesthesia and surgical supplies in the OR and work areas.
• Assist with pulling supplies, rotating inventory, and checking expirations.
• Assist RN circulator with basic patient care; follow aseptic techniques.
• Operate delegated tasks with supervision of a licensed professional.
• Help transport patients pre/post-operatively and participate in room turnover.
• Support other areas as needed; respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
