Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a cook for one of our Las Vegas properties. The role involves receiving and preparing orders per memorized recipes, coordinating pick-ups, and maintaining clean stations and proper storage.

The position requires standing for shifts, lifting up to 75 pounds, and adhering to safety and sanitation rules. Ideal candidates have at least six months of cooking experience and are able to obtain any required licenses or certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience as a cook.
• Stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
• Lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
• Other physical requirements: reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, twisting at the waist.
• Obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare food orders for a specific type of cuisine (according to assigned restaurant) according to memorized standard recipes.
• Coordinate orders for pick-up.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and storage areas at all times.
• Control waste by monitoring proper rotation, storage, and quantity control.
• Maintain inventory of station and order stock to maintain pars.
• Consistently apply established safety and sanitation procedures.
