Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Specialty Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of Management Liability products within Commercial Lines. The role offers a hybrid arrangement or fully remote work anywhere in the United States and requires deep expertise in D&O, EPL, fiduciary liability, cyber, crime, and kidnapping and ransom coverage.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of specialty insurance experience with knowledge in product; or an equivalent background.
• Thorough understanding of specialty insurance products, policy wording, forms drafting, coverages, and regulatory environment.
• Advanced leadership, innovation, and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and technical writing communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate product strategies and underwriting considerations into actionable plans.
• Strong influencing skills to support corporate goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of Management Liability coverage forms and rules for admitted and non-admitted use.
• Monitor regulatory and judicial environments to stay compliant in writing states.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis for the assigned product line.
• Collaborate with Specialty Underwriting to align strategies and goals for professional and executive lines.
• Develop filing strategies and respond to State Department of Insurance objections.
• Mentor Product Analysts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
