Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist to dispense and oversee specialty pharmacy activities, provide clinical services, and supervise support staff. You will evaluate physician orders for safety and accuracy, ensure compliant dispensing, and drive quality improvement within the department.

The role requires active Mississippi pharmacy licensure and several years of clinical experience, with preference for specialty drug exposure.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in Mississippi.
• Clinical experience preferred for specialty drugs.
• Experience coordinating pharmacy staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow the specialty pharmacy department while maintaining profitability.
• Develop relationships with drug manufacturers and reps.
• Collaborate with marketers to engage referral sources.
• Manage inventory and accounts receivable within the department.
• Support accreditation standards implementation.
• Provide guidance to physicians and patients on drugs and monitoring.
