Job summary

The Specialty Gases Sales Specialist at Airgas is an outside sales role focused on advancing the growth of specialty gas products within the regional community. You will work with area account managers to champion product management and market development to meet business goals.

Responsibilities include growing sales across Life Science, Energy and Chemical, Semiconductor, Research Labs, Manufacturing and related sectors; developing growth strategies; supporting account managers; providing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience may be substituted up to 4 years.
• Ability to target high-value customers and prioritize market opportunities.
• Consultative sales approach delivering value through solutions.
• Strong written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel and PC-based order systems.
• Resourceful, proactive and able to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Grow specialty gas sales within the regional community and target key markets.
• Develop and execute growth strategies; support account managers’ portfolio.
• Nurture partnerships with Account Managers and District Managers.
• Provide customers with technical support, training, and service for gas needs.
• Establish data collection on market trends, sales and competitors.
• Utilize sales literature to promote Airgas initiatives in the region.
• Expand consultative approach and knowledge through learning opportunities.
• Use Salesforce and Google Suite daily; generate and execute contracts.
• Read/respond to email and phone calls promptly; participate in special projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Science, Engineering, Technology, or related field
