Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Specialty Gas Sales Specialist to drive growth across regional markets with direct outreach and collaboration with account teams. The role focuses on advancing specialty gas products, managing key accounts, and delivering technical support and solutions.

The position is outside sales, with a base salary plus bonus, benefits, and career development opportunities within Airgas’ extensive gas and safety product network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; up to 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree accepted.
• Knowledge of customer segmentation and prioritization for high-value customers.
• Experience with consultative sales delivering multi-layer value.
• Strong understanding of business needs, macro- and microeconomic trends, and new opportunities.
• Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, and presentation skills; PC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Advance specialty gas sales in the regional market across Life Science, Energy, Chemical, Semiconductor, and related sectors.
• Develop and execute growth strategies, supporting account managers in portfolio expansion.
• Foster partnerships with Account Managers and District Managers.
• Provide customers with technical support, engineering guidance, training and service for specialty gas needs.
• Collect market data on sales, trends and competitors to inform strategy.
• Utilize Salesforce and Google Suite to manage contracts and communications.
