Your role :

As a Commercial / Specialty Casualty Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for resolving all aspects of 1st and 3rd party injury claims of low to moderate complexity for personal lines and our commercial claims. Your duties will include becoming licensed in multiple states to handle claims across various regions nationwide.

• Manage claims efficiently and effectively to an appropriate resolution with minimal supervision.
• Handle all aspects of liability injury claims of low to moderate complexity, including coverage, liability, and damage concerns.
• Handle 1st party exposures such as Medical Payment coverage, PIP, Uninsured Motorists, Under-insured Motorists claims, and ADB (Auto-Death Benefit) claims.
• Assist with first notice of loss calls (FNOL) and participate in the department phone queue as needed.
• Make coverage determinations and conduct investigative work, advising customers on coverage issues.
• Make liability determinations based on evidence gathered.
• Evaluate potential for subrogation and initiate notices accordingly.
• Develop negotiation strategies to resolve claims effectively with insureds, claimants, or representatives.
• Communicate case facts to supervisors or committees when appropriate.

Required experience, education, and skills :

• At least 2 years of Casualty claims experience.
• BA/BS in business, insurance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must acquire and maintain multiple Adjuster’s Licenses (state-specific) within the first 90 days of employment or transfer.
