Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Specialty Navigator II to review complex referrals, coordinate specialists, and ensure smooth patient care across internal and external teams. You will interview patients as needed and work closely with Specialty Nurses to ensure safe handoffs and timely access to services.

The role involves scheduling tests and visits, addressing billing inquiries related to referrals, and promoting cost-effective, high-quality care across payer networks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products, scheduling software and EMR systems (Epic or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Reviews referral information from clinicians for tests, consultations and procedures.
• Works with patients and providers to understand services requested and obtain needed information.
• Coordinates care within Atrius Health, Reliant and external partners; ensures safe clinical handoffs.
