Job summary

Ridgeview is seeking a Specialty Care Coordinator to manage referrals, prior authorizations, and liaison activities among health plans, patients, and providers. The role includes coordinating inpatient/outpatient services and ensuring billing/documents are completed for each service.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, at least two years of healthcare experience, and strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Two years healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assures accurate processing of patient registration.
  • Accurately schedules patient appointments according to clinic policy.
  • Coordinates insurance referral actions and pre-certifications.
  • Coordinates care with Ridgeview Patient Financial Services.
  • Coordinates requests for release of medical information.
  • Assists with coordination of completion of medical forms.
  • Keeps informed of changes within care system guidelines.
  • Serves as liaison between patients, insurance company and provider.
  • Coordinates staffing coverage for shifts.
  • Coordinates inpatient and outpatient services including imaging, labs, surgeries.
  • Ensures documentation, coding and billing for each service.
  • Collects and reports statistics as needed.
  • Performs administrative support duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
