Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a Specialty Care Coordinator to join our patient-focused team in San Diego and Chula Vista. You will manage scheduling, prepare patient charts, obtain authorizations, and provide direct support to ensure smooth clinic operations.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and medical assistants to deliver high-quality care, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate records, while delivering friendly customer service to patients and employers alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in STAT referrals, surgery approvals and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of a patient across specialist care and follow-up.
• Act as liaison between provider, staff, payors, employers and patients.
• Answer phone calls professionally and respond to inquiries.
• Assist with scheduling, records management, and chart prep.
• Process referrals and schedule authorized treatment referrals.
