Job summary

Pfizer is seeking an Access Care Manager focused on patient access and reimbursement in a field-based role. You will partner with healthcare providers and internal teams to optimize payer pathways, prior authorizations, and coverage strategies across territories.

The role emphasizes high-touch patient engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and navigating complex payer policies to improve timely therapy initiation. Extensive travel and a base salary with bonus opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of pharmaceutical experience in customer-facing roles or functions.
• 1+ years in Access and Reimbursement support.
• 3–5 years of Specialty Pharma experience, with reimbursement and access expertise.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; proven cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment with strict compliance.
• Valid US driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for consented patients across enrollment to therapy initiation.
• Assess coverage, affordability, and logistical barriers to access.
• Coordinate care across providers and sites to ensure timely therapy progression.
• Provide reimbursement guidance on prior authorization, step edits, and payer requirements.
• Educate HCPs on reimbursement processes and access resources.
• Develop and execute account-level access strategies to improve patient access at scale.
• Engage with payers to clarify coverage policies and resolve access challenges.
• Provide market insights on payer trends and access barriers to internal stakeholders.
