2026‑2027 School Year

AM and PM shifts on school transportation, hours may vary

2 mornings and afternoons

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability and desire to work with children with special needs.
  • Ability to take direction from and work under the supervision of school staff.
  • Willing to be delegated to administer emergency medication to a student.
  • Safety Care, CPR and first aid training preferred or willingness to be trained.
  • Alternative qualifications acceptable if deemed appropriate by the Superintendent of Schools.
Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 care during school bus transportation.
  • Monitor and respond to seizure‑related medical needs.
  • Administer seizure medications as prescribed by the student’s physician, following the Emergency Action Plan.
  • Collaborate with the school‑based team to maintain continuity and quality of care.
  • Follow an AM or PM shift or alternate on a set schedule.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with bus drivers, school staff, and parents/guardians.
  • Document any incidents, medical concerns, or medication administration in accordance with school policies and procedures.
Salary

External candidates: In accordance with the Non‑Union Personnel Guidelines & Benefits.

Internal candidates: Current FPS staff will be paid their 2026‑27 hourly rate of pay.

Position Type: Part‑Time

Pay: $20.75 to $45 per Hour
