Job summary

State of Missouri's OA-FMDC seeks an experienced Specialized Trades Worker to support building, equipment, maintenance, and trades projects across multiple facilities. Duties include prioritizing customer service with diverse stakeholders, applying trade knowledge to troubleshoot and repair a range of systems, and performing heavy labor as needed.

The role requires 3-5 years of on-the-job trade experience, valid Missouri driver license, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of on-the-job training in a trade area.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver license.
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 preferred; FMDC can provide if needed.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize excellent customer service for a wide and diverse network of stakeholders, including internal teams, state agencies, contractors, and the public.
  • Completing skilled work within one or more specialized trade areas.
  • Apply trade-specific knowledge to troubleshooting, repair and remediation tasks.
  • Perform work relating to electrical; HVAC; electronics; carpentry; concrete and masonry; welding; plumbing; and/or painting.
  • Heavy lifting, manual labor, and operating machinery per project needs.
  • Answer emergency calls and travel to other facilities for coverage.
  • Provide after-hours coverage to ensure facilities are maintained for state business.
  • Follow OA-FMDC safety protocols and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
