Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking an entry-level Maintenance and Grounds Technician to support maintenance and repair of state facilities, vehicles, and grounds. You will work across trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and more, ensuring tasks align with project objectives and schedules.

Ideal candidates demonstrate basic maintenance knowledge, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather. Background checks and US work authorization apply.

Qualifications

• Prior experience and general knowledge of light trades work; general maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor in connection with receiving, handling, transportation and storage of building materials, furniture, equipment, supplies and other similar items.
• Perform heavy lifting, manual labor, and operating machinery and heavy equipment per project needs.
• Complete a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, and repair of state buildings, facilities vehicles, and equipment.
• Maintain grounds for buildings including horticultural care, debris and trash disposal, snow removal and salt application.
• Assist in cleaning of parking lots and patching and painting asphalt.
• Perform light electrical, plumbing, drywall repairs, and painting.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities, equipment and systems.
• Execute assignments in the form of work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
