Job summary

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center in Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for Specialized Residential Services. The role provides direct care, supervision, structure, and therapeutic support to adolescent girls in residential treatment, helping them stabilize, build healthy relationships, and work toward their treatment goals.

Candidates must be 21+, pass a background check, and meet education/experience requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a thorough background check and obtain clearance.
• Education/Experience options: Bachelors/Associates + experience or HS diploma + four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, supervision, and therapeutic structure in the residential setting.
• Provide active supervision of youth and accountability during shifts.
• Teach daily living activities, routines, hygiene, meals, and organization.
• Supervise life-skills activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Support youth in recreational, academic, and approved activities; model healthy skills.
• Observe behavior, document progress toward treatment goals, and report concerns.
