Job summary

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center (MMYTC) is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician II to support residential adolescent care on site in Arizona. The role focuses on safety, supervision, and daily living activities, with strong emphasis on trauma-informed care and teamwork among therapists, educators, and direct care staff.

Eligible candidates must pass a fingerprint background check. A degree in behavioral health or related field is preferred, with alternative paths for varying levels of

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a thorough background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Education/Experience: Bachelor's in a behavioral health field OR an associate's with 2+ years full-time BH work OR HS diploma with 4 years full-time BH work.
• Experience with youth in BH settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, accountability and security of campus.
• Teach, coach and supervise students in activities of daily living and routines on and off campus.
• Observe peer culture for patterns indicating progress or regression in the program.
• Observe individual student behavior over time and progress toward treatment goals.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Follow and implement individual treatment plans for all students.
• Recognize escalating behaviors and intervene to ensure safety.
