Job summary

Park Place Middle School in Monroe, WA is seeking a Paraeducator – Specialized Instructional (SLC) for the Structured Learning Center. You will support teachers, assist diverse learners, and help implement individual education plans to promote student growth.

Requires 18+, a high school diploma or higher (alternatively college credits or apprenticeship). First Aid/CPR/AED, CPI training, and state paraeducator certifications are expected. Employment is part-time with a 180-day schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Hold an associate degree or higher or 72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher or equivalent.
• Complete an approved apprenticeship or pass PESB-approved assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with learning materials and instruction.
• Support students with diverse abilities and behaviors in a classroom setting.
• Tutor small groups and monitor student progress per learning plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies.
