The role combines Scrum facilitation, technical analysis, and software delivery, translating requirements into Jira work and guiding estimation, planning, and capacity tracking.

The candidate will communicate project status to stakeholders, manage risks and timelines, and ensure delivery readiness across Scrum Master, Technical Analyst, and Project Manager

Qualifications

  • Experience across two or more disciplines: Scrum Master, Technical Analyst, or Project Manager.
  • Experience investigating API behavior with Splunk, Datadog, API clients, and AI tools.
  • Hands-on Agile/Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience in a cloud-based microservices environment.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Specialized I.T. Project Manager to lead projects from intake through production delivery. This role combines Scrum facilitation, technical analysis, project management, and software delivery. This person will translate requirements into Jira work, guide estimation and planning, track team capacity and commitments, and communicates project status, risks, and timelines to stakeholders. Candidates should have hands-on experience across Scrum Master, Technical Analyst, and Project Manager responsibilities, along with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and learning skills.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage project intake according to team processes and create Jira tickets from provided requirements
  • Guide the development team through estimation and planning
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions
  • Track development deliverables through completion and align team tasks with project priorities
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove blockers, and resolve delivery issues
  • Work with the team lead and senior manager to assess development capacity and track progress against committed timelines
  • Maintain roadmap status and communicate project risks, open items, blockers, and delivery commitments to internal and client stakeholders
  • Keep project teams, program teams, and development leadership informed of project status
  • Perform initial triage of issues and questions raised by stakeholder teams during user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Investigate and answer questions about API logic and data retrieved from upstream systems
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
  • Experience across two or more of the following disciplines: Scrum Master, Technical Analyst, or Project Manager, with working knowledge of the remaining discipline
  • Experience investigating API behavior using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, API clients, and AI tools
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, Jira, and Confluence
  • Experience working in a cloud-based microservices architecture environment
  • Ability to write clear requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Ability to quickly learn software service architecture and functionality
  • Ability to translate stakeholder needs into actionable development work and explain development requirements to other teams and leadership
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Familiarity with Apollo Studio, Swagger UI, Datadog, Splunk, GitLab, and the Karate test automation framework
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Amazon Kiro and Claude
  • Understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with blue/green and canary deployment strategies
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm charts
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud-based software environments, and cloud-native software development

Work Environment

Location: Denver, CO Hybrid

Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $45.00 and $65.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
