Job summary

Mason City Schools is hiring a Specialized Classroom Aide at the Mason Early Childhood Center in Mason, Ohio. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday for 6.5 hours per day at the Mason Early Childhood Center.

Under the supervision of the intervention specialist, you will support small groups, reinforce material, perform light clerical tasks, and assist with self-help skills and documentation of pupil performance. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass a BCI&I and FBI criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Supports students in recitation, reading, and other curriculum tasks.
• Works with small groups to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.
• Performs clerical duties such as copying, bulletin boards, and material prep.
• Implements teacher-directed interventions to support pupil objectives.
• Assists students with self-help skills and gradually reduces support.
• Assists in documenting pupil performance.
• Assists in toileting needs, including diapering.
