Mason City School District is hiring a Preschool Special Education Aide at the Mason Early Childhood Center in Mason, Ohio. The role supports the intervention specialist by providing direct instruction and implementing individualized behavior plans for preschool students with special needs.

Responsibilities include one-on-one support, teamwork in planning meetings, hygiene and safety tasks, and data collection. Requires a high school diploma or GED and passing a state/federal background check.

Qualificações

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass a BCI&I and FBI background check.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct instruction to students under supervision of the intervention specialist.
• Implement behavior plans to modify behaviors that interfere with learning.
• Work one-on-one with a preschool student with special needs.
• Participate in team and planning meetings.
• Clean and disinfect toys and equipment regularly.
• Assist with diaper changes and basic hygiene as needed, following universal precautions.
• Follow through with therapy/classroom interventions as directed by therapists/teacher.
• Complete in-service training in early childhood education topics.
• Nurture children and facilitate play using developmentally appropriate practices.
• Maintain confidentiality of staff, students, and families per FERPA.
