Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supports students in recitation, reading, and other curriculum tasks under supervision, guiding and helping but not teaching.
• Works one on one or with small groups to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Performs clerical duties such as copying, bulletin boards, and material preparation.
• Implements teacher-directed interventions to support pupil performance objectives.
• Assists students in accomplishing self-help skills and gradually reduces support.
• Assists in documenting pupil performance.
• Assists in toileting needs, including diapering.
• Works with students who have medical needs, which could include tube feedings or insulin testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
