Job summary

Mason City School District in Mason City, IA seeks a Preschool Special Education Aide for the Mason Early Childhood Center. Under supervision of the intervention specialist, you will provide direct instruction, support students with special needs, and assist in implementing individualized plans within a preschool classroom.

The role includes collaborating with team members, maintaining safety and confidentiality, assisting with diapering and hygiene, and helping with data collection and progress

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Pass a BCI&I and FBI background check.
Ability to participate in required trainings in early childhood education.
Ability to follow supervision and implement plans.

Responsibilities

Provide direct instruction under supervision.
Implement behavior plans to modify behaviors.
Work one-on-one with a preschool student.
Attend team and planning meetings.
Clean and disinfect toys and equipment.
Assist with diapering and hygiene as needed.
Follow therapy and classroom interventions.
Complete in-service trainings in early childhood topics.
Nurture children and facilitate play.
Maintain confidentiality under FERPA.
