Job summary

Uber Freight is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to grow and maintain carrier relationships in a fast-paced sales environment. You will establish relationships, negotiate rates, and recruit carriers across dry van, reefer, hazmat, tanker endorsed, and flatbed freight.

You will meet or exceed team and personal financial goals, learn freight lanes, and manage carrier profiles to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries using safe, reliable carriers.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of professional experience in a sales/cold call setting or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Carrier Sales Representative, you are a key contributor to Uber Freight's business by generating and maintaining carrier relationships. You will be eligible to earn a monthly bonus, in addition to your base salary, in your first full calendar month and enjoy working in a fast-paced, sales environment.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Establish relationships, negotiate, and develop carriers regularly via phone and email in order to develop specialized and dedicated carriers
• Engage and build relationships with carriers across dry van, reefer, hazmat, tanker endorsed, and flatbed freight specific to Uber Freight specialized services.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and high service levels where freight is picked up and delivered on time using safe, reliable carriers
• Meet or exceed team financial and individual performance goals
• Develop knowledge of carrier supply and demand, spot market pricing, and factors that impact freight markets
• Carrier profile management- learn carrier requirements, needs, contacts and update carrier profiles regularly. Be an advocate for the carrier on all levels
• Acquire knowledge of freight network/lanes- know what internal freight lanes we run and find carriers that match these lanes

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2+ years of professional experience in a sales/cold call setting or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Track and trace experience
• Experienced booking carriers for Hazmat, Tanker Endorsed, and flatbed freight
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
