Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. seeks a Time and Labor Specialist to track teammate time data, compute time worked, vacation eligibility and holiday pay, and monitor accuracy within the LMS. You will ensure timely, accurate processing of time records and support payroll workflows.

This role requires attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and effective communication. Prior time-and-labor experience is preferred, with a solid foundation in bookkeeping or payroll processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Mathematical skills are required.
• Detail oriented with accuracy and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• 2+ years in bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll or AR.
• Time and Labor experience is required.
• Ability to read/write English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and records teammate time and pay data.
• Computes time worked, vacation eligibility, and holiday pay.
• Reviews time daily for missed punches and corrects as needed.
• Tracks and monitors data in the LMS system.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Tracks timeclock transactions in the warehouse, office or maintenance/mechanic areas. Researches missing punches, excessive overtime, and vacation or holiday eligibility. Works with supervisors to correct time before submitting time for processing. Collects data from LMS (Labor Management System).

• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
