Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University seeks an Associate Vice President, Finance to lead the analysis and maintenance of the general ledger, provide revenue and expenditure reporting, cash management, foundation operations, audits, and overall financial management and budgeting.

The role includes financial oversight for auxiliary services, oversight of multiple university contracts and administrative units, and defined duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field required.
• MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• Five years or more of experience in college/university or governmental business services/operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assist with the general ledger, revenue/expenditure reporting, cash management, EKU Foundation operations, audits, and overall financial management and budgeting.
• Oversee financial and budget oversight and guidance to auxiliary service operations.
• Manage university contracts and administrative units; some duties will be defined.

Job Summary/Basic Functions

The AVP, Finance responsible for analysis and assistance with themaintenance of the University's general ledger trial balance,revenue/expenditure reporting, cash management services, EKUFoundation operations, financial audits and overall financialmanagement and budget. Responsible for financial/budget oversightand guidance to all auxiliary service operations. Overallmanagement of many University business contracts and administrativeunits. Select duties will be more defined.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: B.S. Degree in Accounting, Business,Finance, or other business related, relevant field is required. AnMBA and/or CPA is preferred.

Experience: Five years or more of appropriate,applicable experience in college/university or governmentalbusiness services/operations; and/or administration.
