Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Permitting Specialist to oversee permit applications, liaise with regulatory agencies, and ensure compliance with all permitting requirements. You will collaborate with engineering and construction teams to gather documentation and track permits through approval cycles.

This role emphasizes proactive issue resolution, timely submissions, knowledge of local, state, and federal rules, and maintaining strong relationships with permitting authorities.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 1+ years of relevant work experience, formal trade, or technical skills training.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or up to two years of basic understanding of permitting processes.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal permitting requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and submit permit applications to regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and construction, to gather necessary permitting documentation.
  • Maintain relationships with permitting agencies to facilitate smooth approvals.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Track multiple permits and proactively address potential delays.
  • Research and analyze permitting trends and regulatory changes affecting the industry.
  • Assist in responding to permit-related inquiries from government agencies or stakeholders.
  • Support audits and internal compliance checks related to permits.
  • Identify process improvements for faster and more efficient permitting workflows.

What You’ll Need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
