Job summary

Atlas Molded Products in Michigan is seeking a hands-on manufacturing associate to read tape measures, operate machinery, and support production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires basic math, English fluency, and the ability to work both independently and with a team. Candidates should be familiar with ERP systems and basic Microsoft Office tools. Standard hours are 40 per week.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Machine operation or basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in multiple areas.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Direct department personnel to meet production schedules while following safety and quality standards.
  • Operate and set up departmental equipment and report issues to supervisor.
  • Perform data collection in ERP/PeopleSoft (ERP) and monitor production metrics.
  • Maximize yield and reduce scrap through process improvements.
  • Verify orders and produce parts with correct material, density, weight, size, and shape within tolerance.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Candidate must be able to read a tape measure, be reliable, and pass a drug screen and background check.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties as assigned)

General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations,
safety requirements and departmental procedures
Direct department personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety
and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Must be able to work independently and collaborate with others to ensure production schedule and
quality standards are met, and report issues to supervisor
Operate and set up departmental equipment
Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP)
Maximize yield and reduce scrap
Report department metrics
Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or
shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity
standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Machine operation or basic troubleshooting
  • Experience working in multiple areas
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
  • Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools
  • Must be computer literate; Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Light to moderate physical e?ort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting,

head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.??
