Job summary

Atlas Molded Products in Michigan is seeking a dependable team member who can read a tape measure, operate and set up department equipment, and follow safety and quality standards.

The role requires basic math, English fluency, and comfort with ERP systems. You will contribute to on-time production, collect data in ERP, and support continuous improvement while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Machine operation or basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in multiple areas.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Direct department personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaborate with others to ensure production schedule and quality standards are met, and report issues to supervisor.
  • Operate and set up departmental equipment.
  • Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP).
  • Maximize yield and reduce scrap.
  • Report department metrics.
  • Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity standards.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Candidate must be able to read a tape measure, be reliable, and pass a drug screen and background check.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties as assigned)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Light to moderate physical e?ort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting,
  • climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above
  • head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.??
