Job summary

Pathways LA in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Specialist, CDE to join our Child Development Education team. This role supports families and childcare providers and helps ensure successful CDE program implementation, including Stage 2, Stage 3, and Alternative Payment programs.

You will provide case management for parents, collaborate with participating providers, and assist with selected fiscal duties. Bilingual abilities in Russian and/or Armenian are strongly preferred to serve diverse

SPECIALIST, CDE

Bilingual proficiency in Russian and/or Armenian is strongly preferred

With over 45 years in service, Pathways LA has become the leading agency for a multi-year, county-wide initiative to increase the service of childcare needs. Our passionate and dedicated team has great pride in serving families and early childhood educators throughout Metro LA. Our team includes directors, case specialists, child development coordinators, coaches and teachers & staff for our West Hollywood Preschool and Pathways LA Child Development Center.

• Location: Downtown, Los Angeles


• Schedule:Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week | Hybrid – 2 days onsite / 3 days remote


• Starting Rate: $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience and education plus a comprehensive benefits package


• Start Date: Immediately

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position provides case management support to parents, works directly with participating childcare providers, and assists with selected fiscal responsibilities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.


• Two years of direct experience working in a Resource & Referral (R&R) or Alternative Payment Program.


• Knowledge and experience with Windows and Microsoft Office.


• Network experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS — STRONGLY PREFERRED

Bilingual proficiency in Russian and/or Armenian is strongly preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with families and childcare providers from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
