Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work for MTA/NYCT projects. You will verify dimensions, track components, and supplier materials, ensuring adherence to drawings and standards.

Minimum five years in track inspection or QA, ability to read drawings, and knowledge of AWS/ASNT are required. Position emphasizes accuracy, reporting, and coordination with project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in special track inspection or related QA/inspection roles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials (nuts, bolts, washers, plates, shims, clips, spikes, etc.).
• Review engineering drawings, specs, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
