Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of track work and related components for public infrastructure projects, including MTA/NYCT. The role emphasizes dimensional inspection, quality assurance, and adherence to AREMA/ASTM/ASME standards.

Candidates should have five+ years of experience in track inspections or QA, be able to read engineering drawings, and understand AWS/ASNT inspection techniques.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in special track inspections or related QA roles.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specs.
• Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work to Authority drawings and specs.
• Verify dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials (nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes).
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
