Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of track components for public infrastructure projects. The role requires experience with railroad and transit track inspection, dimensional checks, and quality assurance processes.

You will review drawings and specifications, document nonconforming materials, and prepare inspection reports to support material acceptance decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in special track inspections or related roles.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
