Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC seeks a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work and related materials for transit projects. You will verify dimensions and conformity to drawings and standards, and prepare detailed inspection reports.

The role requires five years of rail/track inspection experience, strong QA discipline, and the ability to read engineering drawings. On-site inspections, accurate reporting, and adherence to standards are essential.

Qualifications

Five years of experience in special track inspections or related QA.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
Identify and document nonconforming materials.
Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
