Job summary

Memories.ai is hiring to build and optimize a global collection network for video data. You will sign and manage partners, hire and lead site GMs, and ensure smooth site operations, from hardware delivery to acceptance of hours, while maximizing unit economics.

You will interface with the founding team and have a clear path to grow a team. The role is hands-on and revenue-driven, with equity upside as the network scales.

The role

Robots learn from real-world video of people doing real work, and there isn't nearly enough of it. You'll build and run the collection network that closes that gap - through product, partnerships or both, and always through streamlined operations.

Our customers pay per video hour, so supply drives our revenue. That's why this role earns commission on revenue. Build a better network - more partner sites, wider coverage, higher acceptance, lower cost per accepted hour - and you earn more.

The goal is coverage, not just volume: many environments, skills and tasks, with no single slice taking over the dataset.

You’ll interface directly and regularly with our founding team, and you will have a clear path to build your own team, starting with site GMs. It's a super hands-on role.

What you'll own

• Partnerships. Sign and manage partners with direct relationships to sites and collectors - facilities, staffing firms and local operators - across Latin America, Africa, Europe and Oceania.

• Site GMs. Hire, deploy and lead the GMs who oversee each site for as long as it needs one.

• Site execution. Hardware delivered and working, collection criteria followed, consent on every recording, and accepted hours maximized through our QC.

• Memories Upload. Own our contributor capture program end to end, from onboarding to review to payouts.

• Coverage and unit economics. Run a live coverage map and own cost per accepted hour by market.

• Playbook. Write it down so a new market can open without you running it day to day.

What good looks like

• 30 days: First partners signed, first site GMs deployed, 1K hours accepted.

• 60 days: 10K accepted hours per month and scaling, with a GM on every active site.

• 90 days: 100K accepted hours per month, and 2+ new markets opened from a repeatable playbook.

Who you are

• Shared vision of a world in which robots co-exist alongside humans and elevate us to live ever-increasing fulfilling lives.

• A consulting, operations or product background, or a mix.

• You've run operations across multiple sites or countries.

• You've negotiated partner deals and managed those partners after signing.

• You've built a team or function from zero, and you like doing the work yourself first.

• You're numbers-driven. If the dashboard doesn't exist, you build it.

Nice to have

• MBA from a top entrepreneurial business school (e.g. Stanford GSB).

• Technical background and/or a technical degree (e.g. PhD, MS).

• European background, with experience across the EU and emerging markets.

• Marketplace, gig or supply operations.

Location

In office 5 days a week in San Francisco when not traveling. Travel as needed, including to partner sites. Estimated 25-50% of the time traveling to get the job done.

Compensation

Highly competitive compensation package that encompasses a strong base salary plus commission on revenue, with substantial equity upside.
